Bern University of Applied SciencesI am a labor economist aiming to understand the marked gender differences in labor market outcomes. As samples of recent work, I mention two large scale experiments to detect labor market discrimination – for example stemming from employer prejudice based on potential and/or realized fertility for adult women – and on gender and parental background for teenage apprentices. Currently, working with Swiss administrative data, I estimate the motherhood penalty over time and its part-time component.
