Gianluca Violante is a Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He is also a Research Associate of NBER and CEPR, and a Fellow of the Econometric Society. After receiving his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, he taught at UCL and NYU. He was the Managing Editor of RED, and one of the Co-Editors of Econometrica. His main research interests are in macroeconomics, labor economics, and public economics. He won the Economics in Central Banking Award in 2019.
