His research interests comprise applied econometrics, empirical industrial organization, as well as competition policy and regulation. In his current research projects, he examines the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany and the challenges for competition policy in the book industry.

My research focuses on the interaction of globalization and public policy. More specifically, I am working on the FDI inequality nexus, the effects of redistribution policy in the open economy and the distributional effects of trade policy.

Ralph Koijen

University of Chicago Booth School of Business

Ralph S.J. Koijen is the AQR Capital Management Distinghuised Service Professor of Finance and Fama Faculty Fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow of the Center for Economic Policy Research. He is a co-director of the NBER Asset Pricing program. He serves as a co-editor of the Review of Financial Studies. Professor Koijen was awarded the 2019 Fischer Black Prize by the AFA.
