I am an Assistant Professor at the department of economics at Humboldt University. I focus on topics around migration economics, political economics and development economics. I obtained my PhD in November 2018 from the Paris School of Economics (supervisor: Hillel Rapoport). I spent the acdemic year of 2015/16 as an associate at the department of economics at Harvard University under the supervision of the late Alberto Alesina.

I am postdoctoral researcher at the University of Würzburg.
My research interests lie at the intersection of migration, integration, and education economics.
Before joining the University of Würzburg at the Chair of Labour Economics, I wrote my PhD thesis at the LMU Munich and worked as a doctoral researcher at the ifo Institute. Furthermore, I studied Economics in Vienna and Barcelona and did my post-graduate master in Law and Economics in Rotterdam, Bologna, and Hamburg.
