Valerie Smeets

Valerie Smeets is Professor of Economics at Aarhus University. She is a member of the Department of Economics and Business Economics since 2008, a Research Affiliate of the Research Centre for Firms and Industry Dynamics (FIND) and CEPR Research Fellow. Her research interests are empirical work in the fields of international trade, industrial organization and organizational economics.

I am a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota and my M.A. in Economics from the New Economic School.

My research focuses on applied macroeconomics, firm dynamics, labor economics and business cycles.

Joeri Smits

Marcel Smolka

Marcel Smolka is a Professor of International Economics at the University of Flensburg (Germany) and a Research Network Affiliate at CESifo (Munich). Before joining Flensburg, he spent five years as an Assistant Professor at Aarhus University (Denmark). He holds a PhD in Economics (2014) from the University of Tübingen (Germany). His research interests include international trade, foreign direct investment, and multinational enterprises.

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Heidelberg at the chair of Economic Theory II (Jörg Oechssler). I completed my PhD at the University of Warwick.

My research interests are within the broad field of Experimental Economics where I study the impact of individual characteristics, like personality traits and intelligence on strategic interactions.
