Cezar Santos is a Research Economist at the Bank of Portugal and Associate Professor of Economics at the Getulio Vargas Foundation. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He is a macroeconomist with interests in the intersection of macro, labour and development economics.

I am currently working on topics related to fiscal and monetary policy, labour markets and unemployment insurance, and trade and business cycles.

I obtained my PhD in November 2018 from the Paris School of Economics (supervisor: Hillel Rapoport). I spent the acdemic year of 2015/16 as an associate at the department of economics at Harvard University under the supervision of the late Alberto Alesina.

Judith Saurer

I am postdoctoral researcher at the University of Würzburg.
My research interests lie at the intersection of migration, integration, and education economics.
Before joining the University of Würzburg at the Chair of Labour Economics, I wrote my PhD thesis at the LMU Munich and worked as a doctoral researcher at the ifo Institute. Furthermore, I studied Economics in Vienna and Barcelona and did my post-graduate master in Law and Economics in Rotterdam, Bologna, and Hamburg.
